COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA
BACO, the Bath based orchestra is open to all and provides an invaluable opportunity to gain or expand experience in orchestral playing in a relaxed environment.

6 Jan to 6 Feb 2024: rehearsals every Tuesday
13 Feb half term: no rehearsal
20 Feb to 26 Mar: rehearsals every Tuesday
2 Apr & 9 Apr: no rehearsal
16 Apr to 21 May: rehearsals every Tuesday
28 May: no rehearsal
4 June: last rehearsal of Spring semester
10 Sep 2024: Autumn rehearsals start (TBC)

The orchestra plays a variety of music, from symphonies by Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert etc, overtures by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Sullivan as well as Strauss waltzes, Handel's Water Music and the Hallelujah Chorus.
Songs from the shows, The King and I, My Fair Lady etc. Ronald Binge's Sailing By, White Christmas, Dambusters' March and even music from Pink Panther.
Also a number of concertos with excellent soloists a horn concerto, clarinet concerto, and the flute and harp concerto, all by Mozart, and a cello concerto by Haydn.
